 Possible Reason(s):

  • Your computers may not be registered with the same Syncables Account. You will only be able to sync with computers that are registered with the same Syncables Account).
  • One of your computers may not be connected to the network.
  • Your Antivirus or Firewall software may be blocking Syncables from running. Check your antivirus or firewall software for instructions on how to unblock/create exceptions for specific applications.

If went through the checklist above and are still having problems, then we recommend that you unregister/deactivate all your computers from your Syncables Account and go through the setup process outlined below;

PART I:

  1. Launch Syncables on your computer (make sure you are connected to the Internet).
  2. From the left section of the application, click on the “Syncables Account Info” option.
  3. Go to the “ACTIVATED COMPUTERS” section. If the status indicates that you have “x” of “x” computers activated, this means that the computer was not successfully deactivated from your account. If so, go through steps 4.
  4. Click “edit activations”.
  5. Select the checkbox(es) next to the listed computers and click “save”.
  6. If you see a warning message, click “yes” to continue the deactivation process
  7. Repeat the same steps on your other computers.

PART II:
After you have successfully deactivated/unregistered your computers from your account, you should uninstall Syncables from all your other computers except one (which will serve as your "master" computer for activation purposes).

PART III

  1. Exit the Syncables 360 application on your "master" computer (if you are on a windows system, check the Windows taskbar menu at the bottom right corner of your windows desktop. If you see the Syncables icon displayed there, right-click on the icon and choose “Exit”)
  2. Make sure that your "master" computer is connected to the Internet
  3. Launch the Syncables application. You will be prompted to sign in or create a new account. Choose the “sign in “ option and enter the email and password that you originally used when creating your Syncables Account.
  4. Click next  and follow the instructions to complete the sign in process/activation of your account.
  5. Once you have successfully signed in and registered/activated your computer, go to to the left section of the Syncables application and click on the “Setup Another Computer” option (important note: you need to have a removable storage drive such as a USB thumb drive handy in order to proceed with the next steps)
  6. Plug in your removable storage drive to your "master" computer and follow the instructions for copying the Syncables companion license to your connected removable drive.
  7. Once the companion license has been successfully copied to your removable drive, you are now ready for PART IV

PART IV

  1. Plug in the removable drive that contains the Syncables companion license to your other PC, Mac or Linux computer. (Skip Step 2 if you have a Mac or Linux computer.)
  2. If you are on a Windows system and the contents of the drive are not automatically displayed when you plug in your device, just click on the Windows start button (on the bottom left corner of your desktop), and choose “computer”. You can then click on the displayed drive to view its content.
  3. Click on the file with the extension “*.exe” (for Windows installs), “*.dmg” (for Mac installs), or “*.bin” (for Linux installs) to launch the Syncables installer.
  4. Follow the instructions to complete the installation of Syncables on your other computer.
  5. After successfully installing the companion license, launch Syncables on your other computer (make sure it is connected to the Internet).
  6. You will be presented with an activation screen, which will prompt you to enter the email address associated with the Syncables account you created on your "master" computer.
  7. Enter the appropriate email address and click “activate”.
  8. Repeat steps 1-8 for your other computers.

All your computers should now be activated and should be able to sync with each other – as long as they are both on the same network and Syncables is running on all computers.
